C21 Casing Hanger

Enerpal C21 casing hangers are a wrap-around style with slip segments to bite into the casing. They are a non-automatic sealing solution.For lightweight applications.

Main features

  • C21 is the standard for hang- ing light to medium casing loads
  • A set of wedging slips ener- gized by casing weight; can support 80% of the casing joint strength
  • Slips wrap around and bolt into place; no loose parts to fall into the well
  • May be used only in heads or spools with no lockdown pins or bowl pins

"H"-ring

  • H-ring with elastomer seal is positioned above the hanger for annular seal
  • The H-ring is temperature range rated at-20°to 250°F
  • Seals used in H-rings are: CS-seal on the ID; S-seal on the OD

C21 Casing Hanger

Description

C21 casing hanger is combined in a single unit that incorporates a slip bowl and slips. It’s specifically designed for the C21 casing head housing and casing head spool.

The C21 casing hanger is designed to suspend light to medium casing loads. The C21 casing hanger's controlled friction reduces casing deflection and provides a hanging capacity of 50% of the casing's body yield. The casing load is distributed equally to the bowl of the casing head due to even engagement of the slips.

It's a non-automatic sealing solution designed for lightweight casing applications, often used in conjunction with a separate seal assembly like the H-Packoff.
