Back Pressure Valve Lubricator

Back pressure valve (BPV) lubricators from Enerpal are used to safely facilitate the installation of Back Pressure Valves (BPV) or two-way check valves (TWCV) into a wellhead TC-1A tubing hanger. Used in wellhead and tree intervention & repairs, this will isolate and contain wellbore pressure.

At times, operations require the need to isolate the BOP Stack or production X-Mas tree from pressure in the tubing with a mechanical barrier. The back pressure valve lubricator is designed to efficiently set or remove valves and plugs in the tubing hanger.

Our hydraulic units provide the force needed to retrieve stuck plugs in the production tree and wellhead system. This provides a tailored, rigless solution to remediate stuck components.

Enerpal back pressure valve lubricators which connect directly to the top of a X-Mas tree above the master valve are available in various sizes and end connections, pressure ratings varying from 3000 to 15000 Psi both for standard and sour service.

The connection methods between the back pressure valve lubricator tool and the Christmas tree include: API flanged,standard API 6A top connection, Weco Hammer Union, and can also be customized according to customer needs.

Typical applications of the BPV lubricator include:​

  • Installing&removal of back pressure valves and two-way check valves under pressure through standard production trees​
  • The stroke allows setting valves and plugs in the tubing hanger through extended-height rig-ups found in some frac operations
  • The polished rod and hydraulic system have been designed to allow for extremely high torque and tension to be applied to retrieve components in the wellhead system
  • A unique design that is compatible with many specialized retrieval tool options to retrieve an array of stuck components from the tubing hangers and production trees

Valve Removal Lubricator

Valve removal plug running & retrieving tool is a key device in valve maintenance during pressure holding.It consists of connector, cylinder, piston, end cover, stop valve, handle wheel, and so on.It could be applied to side outlet of casing head housing, casing head spool, and tubing head spool to change and repair valve while containing pressure.

Enerpal tool is also designed to accommodate 2-1/16", 2-9/16",3-1/8" or 3-1/16" Valve upto 15000 PSI WP. Adapter may be provided for use with 1-13/16", 2-1/16", 2-9/16", 3-1/8" or 3-1/16" flanged valves and screwed end valves. Various sizes of valve removal plug sockets are also provided for the respective sizes of plugs.
