API 16C Pup Joints

Enerpal Pup joints are made of high quality alloy steel, integrally constructed, forged ended, seamless upset construction. Available from 2" to 3" sizes.


Pup Joints provide by Enerpal are available in NPST and Integral Style for both standard and H2S services

  • Forged from Alloy Steel one piece construction
  • Sizes from 2" to 3". Integral Pup Joint available in lengths up to 12 feet while threaded / butt weld is available up to 20 feet
  • Available in 6,000 to 20,000 PSI pressure rating
  • All products manufactured from forged steel which meets ASTM and/or AISI standards
  • Available in both standard and H2S service

API 16C Pup Joints

Integral Pup Joints

Enerpal Integral Pup Joints feature an entirely one piece, seamless upset-forged construction and are utilized when welded or threaded connections are cause for concern. They are available in 2”, 3” and 4” 15,000psi (Code Red) in lengths up to 10 feet. These Pups can be used with the complete range of high pressure and abrasive oilfield fluids.

They are designed for high-pressure fluid flow applications in oil and gas operations like fracturing, cementing, and testing. These joints are made from forged alloy steel and are known for their strength and ability to handle various fluids at high pressures.

Non-Pressure Seal Pup Joints

Non-Pressure Seal Pup Joints (NPST Pup Joints) are short sections of pipe, typically used in high-pressure applications, that utilize a non-pressure sealing thread for connection.

These joints are engineered for situations where welded connections are not desired and provide a strong, reliable connection without the need for butt welding.

Enerpal pups are available in 1”, 1½”, 2”, 3” and 4” nominal sizes. Standard lengths range from 1 foot up to 20 feet at CWPs of 6,000 psi (Code Silver), 10,000 psi (Code Black) and 15,000 psi (Code Red).

Non-standard lengths in any quantity are available with minimal lead time for custom requirements.All supporting documentation is provided upon ordering, including MTR and hydrostatic test reports.

Application

  • Pup Joints are crucial components in fracturing operations. The fracturing high-pressure pipeline consists of Hammer Lug Unions, Long Sweep Swivel Joints, Pup Joints and Circulating Hoses.
  • They are commonly used in flowlines, choke and kill lines, and other high-pressure discharge lines in oil and gas operations.
